Star Wars - General Grievous
For those of you that are not Star Wars fans....meet General Grievous. He is a robot that can fight with four light sabers because he has four arms!!! I was asked to make this cake for a birthday party. I went online and found a website that showed you how to draw his face. No, I did not actually draw the bottom picture, but I did print it off so I would have something to go by. I think I got pretty close to matching the drawing...what do you think?
I think I can....I think I can...

High Heel Cake
This cake was ordered by a friend of mine to surprise her daughter's teacher. From what I understand, Mrs. Clyburn (who is also a friend) wears some pretty snazzy shoes to work. I also heard that she won a Snazzy Shoes Award from the principal!! I made this cake in honor of her wonderful taste in shoes. Allison, I hope your birthday is wonderful!!
This cake is a 10 inch square (double layer). It is chocolate cake with buttercream icing!

Cupcake Cake Topper
I had so much fun making this cake. I used several different ideas and combined them. The Pink Cake Box gave me the idea for the cupcake on top of the cake with the whimsy number one design. I got the idea for the smooth fondant from The Baked Creation. I loved how simple their technique was. Then I decided to try the new sleek bows instead of the big party ones I have been using.
The cake is white cake with buttercream icing and is covered in marshmallow fondant.
Happy Birthday little Anna!! I hope your first birthday was wonderful!!

Hannah Hooten - Interview with a Future Cake Decorator
I am so excited!!! This is my first time having a guest blogger and what makes it special is that she is also my daughter. The past few weeks Hannah has been interested in cake decorating. Not just eating the left over icing and leveled off pieces of cakes, but actually the decorating part. While we were working on her first cake she said that she wanted her own cake blog too. She said she would settle for a guest blogging spot until she could learn how to type!!
Well, without any further ado, I introduce Hannah Alyse Hooten
