Piano Groom's Cake

I was over the moon when I was asked to make this cake. Many hands went into making this a possibility. Crystal, thank you for sketching the design. Caye, thank you for building the stand. And Emily, thank you for helping me get the right paint and matching the colors. I have been joking around about the fact that I felt like the Cake Boss or someone from Ace of Cakes now that power tools have been involved with the making of one of my cakes. I think this would be fun to continue doing. I just need to invest in some power tools and learn how to use them! Anyways, the cake was a ton of fun to make. I have many other designs floating around in my head!

The cake was chocolate with chocolate icing and decorated with marshmallow fondant.

Wedding Cake

The top and bottom layer of this cake was red velvet and the middle was white. It was iced in cream cheese icing. The wedding reception was at the beautiful Woodrow Hall in downtown Birmingham.

Alexandra, I hope your wedding was wonderful! I hope the cake met your expectations and put a smile on your face! You are a beautiful girl. My prayers for you are that the Lord will be glorified through your new life together with your husband.

Firefighter Grooms Cake

This cake was for my nephew. He is a volunteer firefighter and wanted a replica of his helmet for his cake. I did not do this one alone. I got to work with my mom!! In fact, my mom did a lot of the work. I helped decorate, but she made the cake, the icing, the rice krispie treats, and fondant. She shaped the hat, and did most of the flag on the back. She usually doesn't work with fondant so we used this time for me to show her some of what I have learned the past few years. We had a blast. I also got to show off my cake cricket by creating the medallion on the front. That machine is awesome. It saved me so much time. Congratulations Devan and Mollie. Good luck to you both!

Groom's Red Velvet Cake

Sorry, I know the pictures are not great and the cake is sitting in the box, but this was the first chance I got to take pictures. The cake is red velvet with cream cheese icing. It has chocolate covered strawberries sitting on top of chocolate shavings.

These mini cakes were for a wedding shower. There were four different designs and I believe they were displayed on a very pretty cupcake stand. Sorry I don't have that picture.
