I made this cake for the Soccer Banquet. My daughter could not get over the fact that there wasn't a single soccer ball on the cake. I am not sure why it was such a big deal. I do hope they like it though.

Alabama Hounds-tooth Cake

Can I just say that this is one of my favorite cakes EVER!!!! It is also the first time I have ever used an edible image! SO MUCH FUN!!!! I love how it makes the "A" pop! I was going to fill it in, but it looked so good just outlined. The picture just doesn't do it justice. I wish everyone could have seen it in person! The glare on the cake doesn't help either. Where is Emily or Page when I need their photography expertise the most? Just kidding guys...I love you!

Auburn

The colors get better each time I make them! This cake was for a previous student! I love making cakes for them! Happy Birthday Parker!!! I hope it was great!!!

Alabama vs. Auburn

I realize it looks more like Georgia versus Florida, but I just could not get the colors right. I have finally nailed the colors though...see my next few posts. Luckily the mom to be loved it anyway! I made this cake for a baby shower. The mom and dad were for opposing teams so they did a half and half baby shower. The whole room was divided and the cake sat in the middle! So much fun!!

Time for some Tennis

A student at my school is playing tennis this year. He requested a cake that looked like a tennis court. He wanted rackets, tennis balls and the net! This was a ton of fun to make. I did not come up with this idea on my own, but figuring out the best way to recreate it was a blast. Here is the cake that gave me the idea.

Troy Trojans

This cake was for a repeat customer. Her husband graduated from Troy and is a huge Trojans fan. I found the Troy logo on Troy's website and did my best to mimic it. I think it turned out pretty well. This cake is white cake with buttercream icing.

Happy Birthday Hallie!

My sister-in-law turned 14 years old today!! She is a cheerleader for her school's football team so I made the cake with a sports theme.
It is a butter flavored cake with buttercream icing and covered in marshmallow fondant. I made some footballs, pom-poms, and batons to go around the cake.

Batter Up!

This cake was made for one of my students that I taught my very first year. I had a lot of fun making it. I think the next time I do this, I might try making the field out of fondant. The inside of the cake is chocolate and it is covered with buttercream icing.
