Boy or Girl?

This was so much fun!! A friend of mine from church wanted a fun way to tell everyone what she was having. I made her this cake with blue icing in the middle. The cake said, "Oh happy day. A baby is on the way. Slice into the cake to see what the doctor did say." It was a blast. Especially because she wore a pink shirt in and told everyone it was a girl - just to throw them all off. Then she cut into the cake and showed everyone the slice. Everyone got so excited and had a blast.
I wanted to make it look a little better than this, but I didn't even have an hour to pull it all together. I made the cake and the buttercream the night before. She called me after school and told me what the doctor said. I rushed home to color the icing and make the fondant then put it all together.

Birthday Princess

My niece is one of the sweetest little girls. I asked her what kind of cake she wanted and she said, "yellow." I actually meant, what decorations so I elaborated on my question and asked if she would like a princess cake. She smiled her big beautiful grin and said yes! I I am so glad she liked it! Happy Birthday sweet baby Ava!!! I love you!!

I was so excited about this cake. My friend Page took this photo. She made it look fantastic. But I can't take credit for the design. The original looks even better.

Quit Monkeying Around!!

I had a lot of fun making the cake and the cookies to match. I made this for a friend at church. She requested cookies for party favors. Such a great idea! I have had a lot of orders for cakes and cookies since then.

I made this cake for my wonderful sister-in-law Libby. She turned 18 this month!! Love you Libby!!

I apologize for not posting any pictures since July. Once school started back, I could not find the time to update my blog or I was having computer/camera issues. Well, I am glad to say that I will be adding all of the cakes that I have made in the past 8 months. It might take me a little while, but they will all get put on.
